The carrier has a hollow, steel, annular frame (1) contg. a taut mesh-support (2) made of slack, polyester material. Ends (4,4') sealed against the interior of the hollow ring (1) are held apart by a spacer-piece (3) bridging the intersection (5). Both ends of the spacer-piece (3) are joined to the frame ends (4,4'). The hollow ring (1) has an inner peripheral slit through which extends the support (2) into the ring's interior. The support (2) is joined to a plastic peripheral strip inside the ring (1). The strip has a protuberance sticking into the inner peripheral slot. USE/ADVANTAGE - The interior of the ring is sealed against the outer atmosphere and can easily be cleaned, and especially has no cavities in which dirt can penetrate.
