<p>PURPOSE:To stably realize recognition with the automatic response of a recognizing device even when an object is the one in which the printing quality of a character or the font of it is fluctuated by automatically adjusting the way of attaching weight for the optimization of the combination of features from an actual sample character. CONSTITUTION:A character judging part constituted of an input unit group 3 which performs a processing on images in plural window areas set at a character image and outputs a result, an intermediate unit group 4 which performs an arithmetic operation on a value in which a threshold value is added on an output value from the group 3, and an output unit group 6 which multiplies the output value from the group 4 by a coupling coefficient and performs the arithmetic operation on the value in which the threshold value is added on the sum of multiplication is provided, and the automatic adjustment of the threshold value and the coupling coefficient can be performed from an actual image. Thereby, the extraction of the feature for even a printed character with worse contrast can be performed stably and with high reliability, and stable recognition can be realized.</p> |
