NEW MATERIAL:CL190Y2 expressed by the formula. USE:Useful as an antioxidant and used for stabilizing biomembranes, foods, edible oils, fats, waves, vitamins, perfumes, etc. In this case, the antioxidant is dispersed in substances to be stabilized in about 0.1-1000ppm, preferably about 2.5-200ppm concentration. PREPARATION:A microorganism, e.g. CL-190 strain (FERM BP-2545), belonging to the genus Streptomyces and capable of producing CL190Y2 is cultured in a culture medium to separate and afford the CL190Y2 from the resultant culture. Glucose, corn starch, etc., are used as a carbon source and soybean powder, cotton seed meal, ammonium chloride, etc., are used as a nitrogen source in the culture medium. A method for aerobic liquid culture is optimum for the culture method. The culture temperature is preferably 20-37 deg.C, especially preferably 25-30 deg.C. |
