POLARIZATION BATCH CONTROL METHOD |
摘要 |
PURPOSE:To eliminate the limitation of a batch-controllable channel number and transmission distance which are heretofore limited by polarization dispersion by adding the max. value control of the intensities of received signals respectively to polarization control means. CONSTITUTION:The 1st signal light 16 emitted from a 1st light source 8 for transmission passes a 1st optical fiber coupler 4 for branching and receiving the 2nd signal light 17, then passes a 1st polarization controller 2; thereafter, the light is made incident to one end of a single mode optical fiber 1 having 100Km length. The 1st signal light 16 emitted from the other end of the optical fiber 1 passes a 2nd polarization controller 3 and is branched by a 2nd optical fiber coupler 5 to enter a 2nd optical heterodyne detecting signal receiver 11 by which the light is received. The intensity of the received signal in the optical heterodyne detecting signal receiver 11 is inputted to a 2nd control circuit 15 which adds the control to a 2nd polarization control means 3 so as to maximize the intensity of the received signal at all times. The limitation on the polarization block controllable channel number and transmittable distance which are heretofore limited by the polarization dispersion is eliminated in this way. |
