PURPOSE:To obtain a metal processing oil having excellent cutting properties, grinding properties, corrosion resistance, deterioration resistance and anti- foaming properties free from odor, containing a reaction product (salt) of epoxidized natural fat and oil fatty acid alkyl and dicarboxylic acid (derivative). CONSTITUTION:The objective metal processing oil containing a reaction product prepared by reacting (A) an epoxidized natural fat and oil fatty acid (1-8C) alkyl (e.g. epoxidized stearic acid, epoxidized 12-hydroxystearic acid or epoxidized linseed oil fatty acid) with (B) a dicarboxylic acid (preferable example; maleic acid or itaconic acid) and/or a reactive derivative (e.g. half ester or acid anhydride) or an alkali metallic salt or an amine salt thereof. |
