PURPOSE:To control at an accurate position in a driver such as a fuel injection pump of an internal combustion engine by providing stepping motor position detecting means, step-out detecting and determining means and step-out time correcting means. CONSTITUTION:A stepping motor 51 controls the position of a prestroke of a fuel injection pump. Position detecting means 52 detects the position of the motor 51 and sends its signal to step-out detecting and determining circuit 53. The circuit 53 compares a target number of steps with a position signal, and determines the step-out state of the motor. In case of the step-out state, a correcting number-of-step calculator 56 calculates the number of steps to be corrected necessary to return to a normal state, and outputs a driving pulse to the motor 51 through a pulse rate calculator 57. The motor 51 becomes normal by this correcting operation to be accurately controlled at its position. |
