PURPOSE:To allow development with a stable finish by incorporating a specific compd. into the rear surface and/or over coating layer of a negative type PS plate. CONSTITUTION:Acid, sulfite or anionic surfactant are incorporated into the rear surface or over coating layer of the negative type PS plate in the development processing method for processing the negative type PS plate with a developer to be repetitively used after image exposing. A recommended practice in this case is to provide a layer contg. a polymer soluble in or swellable with an alkali as a binder on rear surface and/or photosensitive layer of the PS plate and to incorporate the compd. into the layer. The always stable developing performance is obtd. even if the processing is executed over a long period of time by using an automatic developing machine and the developer to be repetitively used while replenishing the soln. with a development replenishing soln. |
