<p>The flow system incorporates a quantity of tap positions, pipes and connections to machines. It is fed by a service pipe which contains a cut-off valve and a flow meter (3). As soon as the flow passes through the meter, an indicator moves. When this indicator shows a specific flow amt., e.g. 100 litres, a further indicator is activated to show up to e.g. 10,000 litres. Above the flow meter is an alarm device which emits a signal as soon as an indicator moves. The alarm incorporates a transmitter for a light beam directed towards at least a part of the movement area of an indicator. The character of the light beam is altered when the indicator moves through the beam area of effect. Also available is a sensor which receives light reflected from the indicator table, and when the reflected light character changes from the emitted light, an alarm signal is given. @(Provisional basic advised week 91/31)@ @(9pp Dwg.No.5/6)@.</p> |
