PURPOSE:To accurately perform antitheft action of a vehicle by inhibiting its starting, when an engine is left as in operation by a driver getting off the vehicle and when the engine is started, further releasing the inhibition of starting the vehicle when cipher operation agrees with a cipher code. CONSTITUTION:Following various operations, for instance, such as on-operation of a light switch or the like in no relation to operation of starting a vehicle, cipher operation is performed by a means 1. While a condition of a driver getting off the vehicle is detected by a seat switch 2. Further a cipher signal, generated by operation of the means 1, is collated with a cipher code, previously stored in a means 4, mutually by a computer 3. When a collation result is in no agreement further when the driver is left from the vehicle, starting of the vehicle is inhibited by a means 5. While when an inhibition condition by the means 5 is released by any cause, starting of an engine, that is, its speed is detected by a sensor 6, while the means 5 is reset-actuated again to the inhibition condition. |
