<p>PURPOSE: To make it possible to detect the pressure and temperature at the same place without mounting two separate sensors, by providing a sensing element for outputting an output signal varying according to both the pressure and temperature changes at the same place in response to both the pressure and temperature. CONSTITUTION: A sensing element 3 is provided at one end of a metal probe 4 protruding into gas flow flowing along a duct 5 of an engine 6, and the light from a light radiation source 1 is supplied to the element 3 via an optical fiber optical cable 2. The output of the element 3 is supplied to three parallel photodiodes 11, 12, 3 via optical cable 9. The photodiodes 11 to 13 have different wavelength response, and the outputs of the three different wavelengthsλ1 ,λ2 ,λ3 and are supplied to a processing unit 20. The unit 20 gives two outputs to lines 21, 22 according o the temperature and pressure of the element 3. Thus, both the pressure and temperature can be decided by using the same element 3.</p> |
