PURPOSE:To obtain a setter for calcination which is lightweight and easy in handling and free from reactivity, leaching and penetration of a component and has high heat resistance by molding the mixture of fine granular metallic oxide and an organic binder into a film and calcining this film and placing the calcined film on a base plate made of ceramics. CONSTITUTION:Fine granular metallic oxide preferably Al2O3 and ZrO2, etc., having <=1mum granule diameter are molded into a film having about 0.01-0.5mm thickness by using an organic binder such as acrylic resin. This film is calcined at about 1000-1500 deg.C. This calcined ceramic film is placed on a base plate made of ceramics (a tray shape having a rising part in the circumference preferably has about 50X50cm size) and coated thereon. Thereby a setter available for calcination of ferrite is obtained. |
