Process and equipment for breaking down organic waste with microorganisms in cooperation with worms, comprising at least a first space 1, in which the organic waste is firstly broken down (precomposted), and at least a second space 13, in which the precomposted waste from the first space is broken down further (postcomposted). The first space 1 consists of a tunnel which is separated off from the second space 13 by a wall which is itself latticed or exhibits openings 9 for worms, which have accompanied the precomposted waste, to be able to migrate from the second space 13 back to the first space 1. Organic waste is introduced at one end of the tunnel 1 and removed from the other end in the form of a precompost which is then placed in the second space 13. <IMAGE> |
