<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a small which is excellent in resistance to environment and reliability and capable of executing an ultra-high speed processing by a method wherein photoelectric integrated circuits and/or photoelements which are coupled with each other through light rays are arranged on the inner wall of a case which is closed and shielded from external light. CONSTITUTION:Light emitting sections 40 such as light emitting diodes or lasers and photodetective sections 42 such as optical switches, which are used for coupling elements 32 with each other, are provided to the element 32. The elements 32 are mounted on the inner wall face of a dark box 30, and a mirror is provided to each corner of the dark box 30 to guide light rays between the elements 32 three-dimensionally arranged. The result processed by operation though the inner circuit of the elements 32 is converted into light rays 34 through the light emitting section 40 and successively processed by operation via the photodetective section 42 of the other element 32. By this setup, the space between the elements 32 can be made narrow, and the light emitting section 40 and the photodetective section 42 are directly connected with other, so that a small device, which is excellent in environmental resistance and reliability and capable of executing an ultra-high speed processing, can be obtained.</p> |
