PURPOSE:To enable injection molding of a molded item having excellent electrical properties, a high freedom of coloring, a high hardness, and a good non- combustibility by compounding a melamine-formaldehyde resin, a diallyl phthalate resin, and a fibrous reinforcement. CONSTITUTION:100 pts.wt. resin component comprising 70-97wt.% melamine- formaldehyde resin and 30-3wt.% diallyl phthalate resin is compounded with 10-80 pts.wt. fibrous reinforcement. Said melamine-formaldehyde resin includes a melamine resin, a melamine-phenol co-condensed resin, and a melamine-urea co-condensed resin, the melamine resin being most pref. Said diallyl phthalate resin includes: a diallyl phthalate prepolymer which is obtd. by polymerizing at least one monomer selected from o<->, m<->, and p-diallyl phthalate monomer, has a number average mol.wt. of, usually, 2000-20000 and allyl groups in the molecule, and is polymerizable, org. solvent-sol., and thermally meltable; and a mixture of a major amt. of the diallyl phthalate prepolymer with a minor amt. of a reactive monomer and/or unsatd. polyester. |
