PURPOSE:To make an electronic exchange small in size and low-cost by providing unitedly the electronic exchange with plural data exchange means, a time division switch interface means, a combination selecting means, and a control means to perform data communication between different data exchange systems. CONSTITUTION:A data converting circuit 4 for data communication is provided unitedly in the electronic exchange and is used in common at the time of data communication among data terminal equipments 10 to 12. Data from data terminal equipments 10 to 12 reach data terminal interface circuits 20 to 22 respectively. These data are inputted to circuits 20 and 22 and are converted to data of 64kbps speed by their independent conversion systems. Various conversion systems exist as data conversion systems of data terminal interface circuits 20 to 22. the data converter 4 for data communication converts data dependent on specific conversion system out of various speed conversion systems to data dependent on another specific conversion system.
