PURPOSE:To manufacture a substrate, to which an irregular pattern having high accuracy is formed, maintenance of which is simplified and a mold of which is difficult to be deteriorated, by installing a cylindrical member and a sheet metal, which is provided around the cylindrical member and to which an irregular shape is formed to a roller an detachably mounting the sheet metal from the cylindrical member. CONSTITUTION:One end of a stamper 8 is fixed onto a proper cylindrical member 9 by a screw 11, the other end is fastened by a spring 10, and the stamper is provided around the cylindrical member 9 by constant tension, thus obtaining a roller 12 for manufacturing the substrate of an optical-information recording medium. The roller 12 is set, a substrate material under the state of melting is extruded in a sheet shape from the die of an extrusion molding machine 15, the sheet-shaped extrusion is pressed between the roller 12, a roller 13 and a roller 14, and the irregular pattern of the roller 12 is transferred. The substrate to which the specified irregular pattern is attached is acquired continuously. A central hole and a outer circumference are trimmed as required in a sheet on which irregularities are transferred in this manner, thus easily obtaining the substrate of the optical-information recording medium. When such a roller 12 is used, the stamper 8 may only be exchanged without replacing roller 12 itself even on a defective irregular shape. |
