PURPOSE:To obtain a recording sheet excellent in clearness, gradation properties and uniformity of images, by specifying the Young's moduli, bulk densities and thicknesses of multilayer films provided respectively on one side, on which is provided dyeable coat film, and on the opposite side, and of a sheet form base. CONSTITUTION:The Young's modulus E1, bulk density D1 and thickness T1 of a multilayer film provided on one side, on which is provided a dyeable coat film of a recording sheet, the Young's modulus E2, bulk density D2 and thickness T2 of a multilayer film provided on the opposite side, and the Young's modulus E3, bulk density D3 and thickness T3 of a sheet form support are so set s to fulfil the relationships of formulas [I], [II] and [III]. The relationship of E3 >= E1 >= E2 ensures that the recording sheet obtained has sufficient stiffness and resistance to curling. The relationship of 2T3 >= T1 enables the use of a sheet support having excellent resistance to curling due to printing. The relationship of D2 >= D1 >= D3, particularly the bulk density of the face layer being lower than that of the back layer, enables formation of images with high thermal efficiency and ensures that the face polyolefin film layer is capable of compressive deformation, thereby enhancing deformability according to a thermal head. |
