PURPOSE:To improve the denitrification performance, durability, etc., of the catalyst by using the honeycomb catalyst contg. a catalytic material having specified contents of a Ti-Si binary oxide and the oxides of V, W, Cu, etc., and having specified pores. CONSTITUTION:An aq. soln. of the starting material selected from the oxides and hydroxides of V, W, Cu, Mn, Ce and Sn and a forming assistant are added to TiO2.SiO2 and mixed. The mixture is kneaded and formed into a honeycomb by an extruder. The formed product is dried at about 50-120 deg.C and then calcined at about 450-700 deg.C to obtain a honeycomb catalyst. The obtained catalyst contains a catalytic material consisting of 60-99.5 pts.wt. of the Ti-Si binary oxide and 0.5-40 pts.wt. of >=1 kind among the oxides of V, W, Cu, Mn, Ce and Sn, the sectional perforation rate is controlled to 80-90%, and the thickness of a partition wall separating through holes is adjusted to 0.2-0.8mm. |
