MAGNETIC RECORDING MEDIUM

摘要

PURPOSE:To suppress head wear without degrading the electromagnetic conversion characteristics of the medium and to decrease head contamination by adding zinc aluminate into a magnetic layer contg. ferromagnetic powder. CONSTITUTION:This medium is formed of the magnetic layer (B) formed by dispersing the ferromagnetic powder (A) into a resin binder and a nonmagnetic base consisting of a polyester film, etc. The zinc aluminate (ZnAl2O4) powder is added to the layer B. CrO2 is used for the powder A and the amt. of the ZnAl2O4 powder to be added is preferably specified to 0.01 to 1.0wt.% based on the weight of the powder A.
