PURPOSE:To display an image without generating distortion by varying the time base of a video signal supplied to a picture tube corresponding to right and left pin-cushion distortion and a various kinds of horizontal deflection distortion. CONSTITUTION:A correction signal Sc with a waveform corresponding to the right and left pin-cushion distortion and the various kinds of horizontal deflection distortion is taken out from a deflection circuit 21 at a horizontal cycle, and the signal Sc is supplied to a modulation circuit 15 as its modulation signal, and the phase of a clock CK supplied to a formation circuit 16 is modulated according to the signal Sc i.e., a horizontal deflection position. Thereby, it follows that the time base of a signal Sy read out from memories 4A, 4B is varied complementarily corresponding to the right and left pin-cushion distortion and the various kinds of horizontal deflection distortion, therefore, the image in which the right and left pin-cushion distortion and the various kinds of horizontal deflection distortion are corrected can be displayed on the screen of the picture tube 8. |
