发明名称 PRODUCTION OF SILICON NITRIDE SINTERED BODY
摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain a sintered body which is uniform in aluminum distribution and has high density and is free from rough surface on the surface by sintering a silicon nitride molded body incorporating a sintering auxiliary contg. Al nearby Al-contg. compd. in the existence thereof in the case of sintering the above-mentioned silicon nitride molded body to produce the sintered body. CONSTITUTION:A compd. (e.g. MgAl2O4) contg. aluminum element is blended with fine powder of silicon nitride as a sintering auxiliary. Furthermore yttria is blended therewith as required. Then an organic binder is added and the mixture is molded. After the molded body is degreased, it is sintered nearby a compd. contg. aluminum element (e.g. spinel) in the existence thereof to obtain silicon nitride sintered body. Thereby the sintering auxiliary contg. aluminum in the molded body is prevented from being scattered because the compd. contg. aluminum allowed to nearby exist is heated and evaporated at a time for sintering and coats the surface of the molded body. As a result, the molded body is uniformly sintered and density is made great. The sintered body free from generation of rough surface, etc., can be produced.
