<p>High purity mucilage from Plantago psyllium seeds may be obtained by grinding the integral Plantago psyllium seeds by subjecting the same to pure impact grinding action without any rubbing, with an impact speed of from approximately 30 to approximately 40 meters per second and with a flow rate of the integral seed suitable to maintain the individual seeds spaced so that the impact strength is maintained constant for each seed, whereby the husk is removed from the core of the seed without fracturing said cores, in order to avoid contamination of said husk with particles of the core of the seeds.</p> |
