PURPOSE:To make contamination difficult-to-stick by arranging fine dimples on surfaces of rotary cooling drums, specifying diameter, space and depth of the dimples and distributing the dimples under condition of making lines, which are inclined at the specific angle to the drum axes and lined up in the specific interval, as basic line. CONSTITUTION:The dimples 9 are arranged on the surface of rotary cooling drums 1, 2 for mold and the diameter and interval of the dimples 9 are each <=100mum and the depth thereof is <= 50mum, and these are rarely and closely distributed under condition of making multiple lines, which have inclination at 30 - 60 deg. angle to the axes direction of cooling drums 1, 2 and parallel lines up at 5 - 30mm intervals, as the basic line 8. Contaminating line with a brush 5 basically having traverse direction or longitudinal direction, is cut off and does not remain on the rotary drum 1, 2 as clear line. The contamination to the traverse or longitudinal directions is difficult to stick, and traverse crack or longitudinal crack in a cast strip is developed only in a little and the cast strip having surface characteristic can be obtd. |
