PURPOSE:To store a fine powder of gelatin in good dispersion with prevention of gelatin agglomeration by dispersing a fine powder of gelatin in a medium which contains a ketone and/or an aromatic hydrocarbon and less than a specific amount of water. CONSTITUTION:(A) A medium which is composed of a ketone, preferably methyl ethyl ketone or acetone and/or an aromatic hydrocarbon, preferably toluene or xylene, contain less than 0.5wt.% of water and is liquid at room temperature, are dispersed (B) less than 54 wt.%, preferably less than 50wt.% of a fine powder of gelatin which has molecular weight of preferably 1,000 to 100,000, preferably less than 50mum particle size and less than 1wt.% water content with stirring at or near room temperature under dry gas sealing of dry air or dry nitrogen. Then, the dispersion is stored under tightly sealed conditions whereby the fine powder of gelatin can be stored under good dispersion conditions. |
