PURPOSE:To obtain a warpage-free resin shaft usable as a shaft for a paper feed roller by orienting a molding material of a specific composition in one direction to form a premolded product in a semicured state and compressing the same under heating to perfectly cure the same. CONSTITUTION:A molding material is prepared by compounding a glass fiber, a filler, styrene and a curing agent with an unsaturated polyester resin or a vinyl ester resin or a modified resin thereof. The bulk of this molding material is kneaded, for example, by a 35l kneader while cooling water is passed and taken out in parts by a roll to be cut to form premolded products 10. One of the premolded products 10 is mounted to a press mold 12 having a shaft- shaped mold surface and subjected to thermal press molding to obtain an A-type resin shaft 13. |
