PURPOSE:To attain the electrical control of a brake clutch, etc., with the use of a detected electric signal by providing a fixed housing, a pedal, and a relative rotational angle sensor which detects the relative angle between the fixed housing and the pedal. CONSTITUTION:A pedal 3 is relatively turned to a fixed housing 2 via a treadling part 4. Thus a gear 8 revolves via the cog 3g formed at the outside of an outer cylinder part 3e of a pivotally supported housing part 3c in response to the revolution of the part 3c. Then an input axis 7a of a potentiometer 7 fixed to the housing 2 revolves with the revolution of the gear 8. Thus, the relative rotational angle value of the pedal 3 is detected as the change of the electrical resistance value of the potentiometer 7. This electric signal is used for the electrical control of the control objects including an engine, a brake, a clutch, etc. Furthermore the number of windings is increased with the use of a cylindrically coiled spring 6 together with the reduction of the spring constant. Then a soft treading condition is secured for the pedal 3 and the extreme increase of the treading force is avoided. |
