The invention relates to a device for reducing thickness for an installation for continuously casting metal, particularly steel. The device comprises two guide panels (4, 4') mounted in a frame and each comprising a series of rollers mounted on a frame (40, 40'). Curvature means 5 bear on the frame and on the central part (42) of each panel (4, 4'), the spacing of the lateral sides of which is maintained.
