PURPOSE:To prevent the damage of a tire resulting from stone engagement in the crossing portion of grooves by forming a stone engagement preventing protrusion having portions protruding to respective directions of the grooves at a groove bottom portion in which a plurality of grooves cross. CONSTITUTION:A tire 20 is respectively provided with a plurality of circumferential grooves 22, 24 and a plurality of lateral grooves 26, 30. A prescribed tread pattern is formed thereby. On the respective groove bottoms of the respective circumferential grooves 22, 24, stone engagement preventing protrusions 34 are formed. In this case, in the stone engagement preventing protrusion 34 disposed at the crossing portion of, for example, the circumferential groove 22 and the lateral groove 26, are formed protruding portions 36, 38 respectively protruding toward directions of extension of the respective grooves 22, 26. The stone engagement in the above crossing portion is prevented by the respective protruding portions 36, 38. The compression rigidity of the stone engagement protrusion 34 is improved by the respective protruding portions 36, 38 so as to easily eject stones. |
