<p>PURPOSE: To increase closing operability by locking/unlocking a hook provided on a lid side through the lengthwise directional movement of closing bars provided along both lower part long sides, in a roof trunk turnably and pivotally mounted by a shell-like lid at a shell-like lower part. CONSTITUTION: A trunk mountable on an automotive roof is composed of a shell-like lower part 1 and a lid 3 pivotally mounted on the lower part 1 along one side short side 2, and closing bars 6 and 7 are arranged along both the long sides 4 and 5 of the lower part 1. The closing bar 6 and 7 are connected to lateral beams 13 and 14 pivotally mounted on the terminal of a lever plate 15, through rotatably supported turnable plates 11 and 12; and the lever plate 15 is connected to a shaft 16 penetrating the bottom of the lower part 1 and joined by a turn grip 17. The closing bars 6 and 7 move lengthwise in a same direction through the plates 15, and 11 and 12 by the turn operation of the grip 17, to engage/disengage a roller 21 on the closing bars 6 and 7 and a hook 23 of the lid side 3.</p> |
