PURPOSE:To accurately actuate a wiper by means of a simple device by rotating a contact plate by means of a motor via a gear wheel, the contact plate being provided with a moving contact of a pattern such that its state of contact with plural fixed contacts is varied by rotation. CONSTITUTION:The worm gear 14 of a gear portion 10B is formed at the end of the rotary shaft 12 of a motor portion 10A and a gear wheel 16 meshes therewith. A crank arm 22 is connected to the end of the shaft 20 of the gear wheel 16. A disc-shaped contact plate 24 is arranged on the opposite side of the gear wheel 16 and is supported in such a manner as being freely rotated with respect to a cover 18. A pair of projecting portions 34, 36 are provided on that face of the plate 24 which is on the side of the gear wheel 16, and the plate 24 is rotated in conjunction with the gear wheel 16 by engagement of the pair of projecting portions with an actuating protrusion 38 formed on the gear wheel 16, and rotation of the plate 24 causes a moving contact 40 located on the side of the plate 24 to sequentially change its state of contact with fixed contacts 48 to 58 on the side of the cover 18. |
