Process for the preparation of charged thermosetting compounds of the polyurethane type through the condensation reaction of the constituents of the desired compound in the presence of a pulverulent charge. Said process is characterised by the fact that the charge is first dispersed, with the help of a stabilising agent, in an organic liquid phase which is compatible with the desired thermosetting compound during the formation reaction. The charge takes the form of a homogeneous and stable suspension; the suspension thus prepared is introduced into the reaction medium before, during, or after the introduction of one at least of the constituents of the desired thermosetting compound. Said process makes possible the preparation of compounds of the polyurethane type whose mechanical and physical characteristics are at least equivalent to, if not an improvement on, those of identical non-charged compounds as a result of the high distribution of the mineral charge.
|
