A viscous liquid damper, wherein, by forming in a side plate (3) a projection (27) to project into a cutout part (20) of the flange (2), the liquid chamber in the cutout part (20) is partitioned into a front (28) and rear parts (29) along the rotational direction, and a main choke (A1) is formed. In this damper, a slider (23) is engaged with the bottom edge of the cutout (20) slidably in the rotational direction so that the slider can absorb different kinds of vibrations without causing conflict therebetween, a main choke (A1) is formed between the slider (23) and the projection (27), stopper parts (25) engageable with the projection (27) are formed at both ends of the slider (23) along the rotational direction, and a movable sub-choke (A2) smaller in sectional area of liquid flow than the main choke (A1) is formed in the slider (23). |
