This is a plant for the environment-friendly conversion of non-regenerable waste oil-prods. of various compsns. that contain mineral matter and may be highly contaminated. It includes a storage tank for the waste oil-prod., another for a light oil of known properties, and an internally heat-insulated combustion boiler with a nozzle arrangement for injecting, into the boiler, the waste prods. to be burned after they have been mixed with air or steam under high pressure. The several other features and variants claimed include an arrangement for neutralising an acid prods. that may result m the burning, and an arrangement for testing the flue gases for harmful constits. USE/ADVANTAGE - The disposal of such waste prods. at sea is being increasingly prohibited, and more acceptable means are needed. The proposed plant enables environment-friendly conversion, to useful material, of these waste oil-prods., which may include petroleum distn. residues. They may be of unknown compsn. and other properties.
