End section of a cooling device for longitudinal rolled prods. consists of a guide channel (2) which leads into a funnel-shaped section (3). Just before the section (3) an air conduit (4) feeds an air flow into the channel (2). The section leading from the end of channel (2) to funnel section (3) has stepped appearance. ADVANTAGE - No additional coolant stripping devices are required thereby reducing energy and fixture costs.
