The hinged joint is for the lid of a glove compartment in a vehicle. The lid (4) has in the region of its hinge-side lower end an edge (7). The edge is supported against a stop region of the dashboard panel (1) and part of the lid (5) engages a further stop (6). USE/ADVANTAGE - Glove compartment lid in which the hinge bolt (2) is not loaded when the lid is fully open.
