发明名称 DIAL LOCK GENERATING FALSE COINCIDENCE SOUND AND VIBRATION
摘要 A dial lock which is opened and closed by use of several sets of numeric codes (without using a key) and wherein a tumbler is used. An unlocking method which detects sound and vibration produced when a fall member (fence) falls into the notch of a tumbler inside the lock, and a dial lock for which an unlocking code is not identified is prevented from being unlocked. A plurality of (at least one) false tumblers (a plurality of notches are disposed in alignment with the dial (9)) are provided integrally with each tumbler (10) of the dial lock (tumbler set. See (5) of Fig. 2) and when the real tumbler (10) rotates, false coincidence sound and vibration are generated a plurality of times by the false tumbler as if they were in agreement with the dial. The notches (13) are disposed so that the false tumblers of one tumbler set do not coincide concurrently with the dial. However, the false tumblers are not brought into coincidence when the real tumbler matches in order to prevent the duplicated production of sound and vibration (see (5) of Fig. 2). The fall member (fence, (12)) for the false tumbler has a different shape from that of the fall member (11) for the real tumbler so that unlocking is not successful even when the false tumblers coincide (see Fig. 3). However, design is made so that the inertia moment of rotation, the material and the shape of the fall portion are made to be the same in order to generate exactly the same sound and vibration. The arrangement of the false tumblers and the real tumbler is made different for each tumbler set (see Fig. 1) and the gaps between the false tumblers and the real tumbler in the tumbler set are reduced as much as possible lest the real tumbler can be distinguished easily from the false ones by difference in the distance of sound and vibration. The false and real fall members are fitted to the same shaft rod. Preferably, a sound-absorbing material (absorbing plate) and a sound-reflecting material (reflection plate) are disposed irregularly inside a sound-proofing container for encompassing the tumbler portion lest the generation place of the coincidence sound can be detected easily.
