<p>The invention relates to a hypodermic syringe comprising a cylinder (1) with an open end and an end provided with a fitting piece (3) for a hypodermic needle (6), a piston (13) with piston rod (11) which protrudes through the open end of the cylinder (1), a hypodermic needle (6) releasably arranged on the fitting piece (3) and protruding with an extremity (9) into the hub (2) of the cylinder (1) and means connected to the piston (13) which, when the piston (13) is moved to the end with fitting piece (3), can realize a connection between needle (6) and piston (13). The means comprise a rod-like member (10) which is connected on one side to the piston (13) and whereof the free outer end is provided with a loop-shaped opening (7) which can slide over the portion of the needle (6) protruding into the hub (2) of the cylinder (1). The rod-like member (10) is manufactured from metal and the loop of the loop-shaped opening (7) is made of rubber or is coated with rubber. The rod-like member (10) has a great tensile strength in lengthwise direction and is flexible in transverse direction. The portion of the needle (6) protruding into the cylinder (1) can be provided with barbs (8). The combination of needle (6) and hypodermic syringe has a universal character. The retracted needle (6) falls loose into the cylinder (1).</p> |
