<p>The detection of the presence of digital data, in particular the MAC family signal sychronisation words, includes the following steps: the sequential generation (100, 112) of a time window T2 (132) which indicates when digital data (20) appear, and the detection of the beginning of the digital data by detecting the threshold (114, 123, 124) during each time window T2, while verifying that the threshold has been crossed in at least one window among x consecutive windows (102, 116) and that window generation is reset after said crossing-over. The detection can be used for the control of the level and the amplitude of the continuous component of the video signal.</p> |
