The invention concerns a fastener which can be riveted to a support strip (50). On the viewed face (51) of the strip is a bearing element (20) which is jointedly linked to a button element (10). Mounted on the underside of the bearing element (20) is a rivet element (30) which has a tubular rivet shaft (31) designed to penetrate the support strip (50). On the rear face (52) of the support strip is a holding element (40) with a beading cavity (42) into which the end (49) of the shaft (31) extending through the support strip (50) penetrates and which is deformed radially when the elements are riveted together. In order to be able to attach the button element conveniently, rapidly and tightly to the carrier strip (50), it is proposed that the holding element (40) be designed as a composite element comprising two components, viz: a plastics insert (60) partly surrounded by a metal shell (41) which forms the cavity (42). An opening (43) in the metal shell (41) leaves exposed one surface of the plastics insert (60) on which the support strip (50) rests, while the other parts (62) of the insert (60) are enclosed within the walls (65, 66) of the shell. |
