Proposed is a starter for internal-combustion engines, with a mounting (27, 28) for the spring-mounted ball (24) of a thrust element which is designed as the indexing pin (18, 19) of an electromagnet (12). The mounting consists of a cover cap (27) which accommodates the ball (24) without any play, the edge (28) of the cover cap being fixed to the indexing pin (18, 19) and acting as a stop for a disc (23) which covers a spring (22) disposed in the indexing pin (18, 19), while the floor of the cover cap (27) has an aperture against whose edge (31) the ball (24) rests. The indexing pin (18, 19), together with the spring (22), disc (23), ball (24) and mounting (27, 28), is designed as a pre-assembled unit and is fixed to the armature (17). |
