PURPOSE:To enable stabilizing performance and making efficiency higher by equipping an apparatus with a bending vibrator composed of elastic body and piezoelectric element, a longitudinal vibrator expanding and contracting in the direction of the thickness of the elastic body and a movable body pressure-welded to the tip face of the longitudinal vibrator and by expanding and contracting the longitudinal vibrator simultaneously with the bending vibration. CONSTITUTION:An elastic body 1 being one member constituting a bending vibrator 13 is formed into a rectangular plate and a piezoelectric element 2 being the other member is also constituted into a rectangular shape and fixed to the under surface of the elastic body 1. Then, the bending vibrator 13 is made to excite a bending standing wave and at least one longitudinal vibrator 3 with the end face pressure-welded to a movable body 6 and for driving the movable body 6 in the normal direction of the vibrating surface of the bending vibrator 13 is provided between the node and antinode of the bending standing wave so that any one vibration of going vibration and returning vibration out of the reciprocating vibration of the longitudinal vibrator end face generated by the bending vibration of the bending vibrator 13 is caused to selectively act on the movable body 6 via the motion of the longitudinal vibrator 3. Thus, a stable performance is obtained with high efficiency. |
