<p>PURPOSE:To reduce the weight, to improve slip resistance and to facilitate coloring by forming an olefin series thermoplastic elastomer containing crystal line polyolefin component and rubber component. CONSTITUTION:64 pts.wt. of ethylene.propylene.ethylidene norbornane copolymer rubber extended with 40PHR of paraffin series process oil, 14 pts.wt. of polypropylene, 14 pts.wt. of buthyl rubber and 8 pts.wt. of paraffin series process oil are mixed, by means of a Banbury mixer, for 5 min at 180 deg.C in nitrogen environment. Then the mixture is passed through a roll and cut, by means of a sheet cutter, to provide a pellet. Then the pellet is mixed, by means of a tumbler mixer, with a solution where 0.4 pts.wt. of bisbenzene is dispersed into 0.4 pts.wt. of divinyl benzene and the solution is applied uniformly onto the surface of the pellet. Thereafter, the pellet is extruded at 210 deg.C in nitrogen environment to produce a pellet type thermoplastic elastomer.</p> |
