A light rail system (10) for supporting light fixtures (22) which is flexible so as to conform to curved and irregular surfaces. The light rail has two strips (32, 34) fabricated from a single piece of conductive material, surrounded by upper and lower tracks of thermoplastic material (28, 30). Extensions from the strips form contact tabs (14, 15) which are folded perpendicular to the strips, and extend through slits (36, 42) in the upper track. Source plugs (18, 20) integral with the conductive strips mate with a feed plug (50) providing external electricity. A special coupler (62) allows several rails to be joined together. |
