A machine for removing cork bark which makes it possible to remove the cork bark from the branches of a Hispania oak (Quercus hispania), utilizing the cork bark and the wood for firewood and/or charcoal. The machine for removing cork bark is characterized in that it consists of one or more removal systems which may have various diameters and forms, these being provided with laminated teeth arranged in a judicious manner along the work surface, it being possible for the removal systems to be mounted on a vertical or horizontal shaft. The removal systems are actuated by an electric-motor or internal-combustion-engine system. The cork-bark granulate resulting from the removal operation is taken away via openings in the surface of the table in the area behind the removal systems to a container from which it is transported by suction, rolling footboard or endless conveyor to a distant receptacle. The removal machine is equipped with a suction system which, via a fixed mesh covering, sucks away all the dust created by the removal action. The machine for removing cork bark is able to process straight or twisted branches of different diameters and lengths. The invention to which we refer is characterized by its efficiency and it allows an increase in profitability of four to five times over traditional rough-hewing (dressing) processes. <IMAGE>
