[Also in Divisions El and F2] Interengaging helically coiled metal wires 2 are partially buried in a plastic panel or plateelement 1, the portions of the wires protruding from at least one face of the panel to form anchorage means. The panels may be used for walls, furniture, automobile bodies or as road markers. The plastic material may be moulded or injected thermoplastic or thermosetting translucent or opaque with decorative fillers such as ground glass or mineral waste. When used as road marking, reflective elements may be embedded and metal stems engaged with the protruding loops for fixing purposes. The panel may be secured to concrete blocks to form kerb stones and may be recessed to house a source of illumination. Two panels arranged with the protruding wires facing may form a wall element, with or without a concrete centre layer.</p> |
