PURPOSE:To increase the heat resistance, thermal shock resistance and strength and reduce the weight of the bed boards for heat treatment by using, as a base structure, formed honeycomb products mainly made of a heat-resistant inorganic paper which is prepared by making a mixture of heat-resistant inorganic fibers and heat-resistant inorganic powder into sheets on a mesh. CONSTITUTION:At least one of heat-resistant inorganic fibers selected from alumina fibers, alumina-silica fibers, carbon fibers, zirconia fibers, silicon nitride fibers, silicon carbide fibers and mullite fibers and a heat-resistant inorganic powder such as sericite clay, silica, alumina, magnesia, zirconia, mullite or the like are mixed and made into sheets using a mesh. The sheets are processed into wave-shaped products 1 and they are combined with unprocessed flat sheets 2 to form corrugate sheets, which are wound into a cylinder to form a formed honeycomb product and it is fired to give the subject bed board for heat treatment. |
