<p>PURPOSE:To reduce the sensor of incongruity which occurs in listening to information by controlling a mechanical part by a control part and performing the fast forwarding of a magnetic tape by a prescribed quantity when the number of muting signals or muting outputs exceeds a prescribed number within a 1st prescribed time. CONSTITUTION:The signal processing of the reading signal of a magnetic head 2a is performed by a signal processing circuit 4, a reproducing signal is outputted to a D/A converter 5 and an error rate is outputted to a defective reproducing detection circuit 6. The error rate is compared with an allowable value and when the error rate exceeds the allowable value, the muting signal is outputted to the control part 7 by the circuit 6. The outputting number of the muting signals is counted by the counter 7b of the control part 7, when the number exceeds the prescribed number within the 1st prescribed time which is measured by a 1st timer 7a, the fast forwarding of the magnetic tape is performed by the prescribed quantity by the mechanical part 2. Thus, the sense of incongruity which occurs in listening to the information can be reduced even though the magnetic tape has a damage.</p> |
