PURPOSE:To ensure a sufficient amount of electricity in quick charge, and to retard gas evolution during charge to increase charge efficiency by using a positive plate prepared by filling an active material in a current collector coated with a hydroxide, and by using a negative plate inside which lead sulfate exists. CONSTITUTION:By filling an active material in a current collector of a positive plate previously coated with a hydroxide, a strong oxide film is formed on the interface between the current collector grid and the active material, and current flow through the interface is increased and oxygen gas evolution from the positive plate is retarded. By placing lead sulfate inside a negative plate, increase in the overvoltage in the negative plate in charging is retarded, the sufficient amount of charging electricity is ensured, and hydrogen gas evolution is also retarded. Charging efficiency can be enhanced. |
