PURPOSE:To perform high density recording, to make the transfer of a dye after recording hard to generate and to enhance the storage stability of a recording article by using a specific polyvinyl acetal resin in an image receiving layer based on a dyeing resin. CONSTITUTION:An image receiving layer based on a polyvinyl acetal resin represented by general formula (I) is formed to the surface of a base material. The image receiving material thus formed is easy to prepare and high density recording can be performed and a recording article improved in light fastness, fixability and storage stability can be obtained. In the formula (I), R<1> and R<2> are mutually different and a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group which may have a substituent, a phenyl group which may have a substituent or an alkenyl group and k, l, m and n are show percentages of the respective structural units in the formula and are 50 < K+l < 85, knot equal to 0, lnot equal to 0, 10 < m < 50 and 0 < n < 30. |
