PURPOSE:To simplify equipment and to reduce cost by immersing an iron mate rial in an electrolyte containing a positive active material of a redox-flow cell. CONSTITUTION:By immersing an iron material 56 in an electrolyte 55 containing a positive active material of a redox-flow cell, Fe<3+> ions in the electrolyte 55 are chemically converted into Fe<2+> ions. The electrolyte 55 is regenerated. Additional equipment regenerating the electrolyte 55 is unnecessary. Since Fe<3+> ions are chemically converted into Fe<2+> ions, outside power source for regenera tion is unnecessary. Cost for regenerating the electrolyte is reduced. |
